It's starting to get colder out there T-Boners. Being in Dallas, I realize I
don't have much to complain about when it comes to the cold.  It's just colder
than normal, which in Texas/Louisiana terms means it's "chili season".
There's nothing like some 5-alarm chili on a cold windy day.

I went back home to Shreveport, Louisiana this past weekend to visit with my
folks a bit.  I guess we went because it's the halfway point between my
brother's birthday and mine.  So he brought a few of his friends and we went
to Horseshoe Casino one night.  Nobody in that group is much of a gambler,
so they are the kind of people that casinos love to have walk on the boat.

I have been practicing Texas Hold 'Em for a while and I have gotten pretty
good at it over the past few months.  I'm consistent in winning or getting
runner up in the weekly tournament at Rocky's Grille and I play great online
when I get a chance.  So I figured I was ready to

What I like about gambling at the Hold 'Em tables is that you are in control.
Yes, you do fall to the fate of the cards here and there, but you are not
obligated to play every hand.  If you aren't in the blinds, you choose to play
the hand that is given you.  If you feel you can't win, fold and there's no loss.
You are not at the mercy of a dealer, a wheel, the toss of the dice, or a
"random" machine.  No, the skilled players have control because they know
how to bet, when to play, and when not to play.  That's why I'll strive to get
better, and take all the suckers next time I go gambling.

I found out some sad news yesterday.  One of my favorite pro wrestlers,
Eddie Guerrero passed away.  Monday Night Raw was a tribute to him, and I
think Friday Night Smackdown will be a tribute as well.  The worst thing about

handle his rigorous schedule.  He died in his hotel room. It is sad to see
someone who turned his life around and found the right path in life die so
early.  Eddie was one of the best wrestlers ever, but over the past 4 years,
he proved that he was more than that.  He showed he is a great man with
the willpower to overcome his past and lead a great life.

Next week, be sure to check in for a special addition.  I will be doing a
pregame analysis of the Day After Thanksgiving Classic between the
Rapists and the Pillagers.  If you have no idea what I am talking about, check
out the Videos page and watch last year's epic battle.

I'm not trying to be bias here, but I honestly think the Washington Redskins
have some of the best uniforms in football (especially Clinton Portis' socks).
Also in consideration are Green Bay Packers, Houston Texans, Kansas City
Chiefs, and San Diego Chargers.
What do you think?

The Indianapolis Colts are 9-0 right now.  Who can beat them?  Anyone CAN
beat them, but if I had to pick the first team to do it, I'd say Jacksonville or
San Diego.  It might come down to whether the Colts care more about
keeping their players healthy for the playoffs or going undefeated.

A-Rod won the AL MVP.  He may deserve it, but that just means he's the
best player in the regular season.  Did anybody watch the post season,
though?

Please Rocket, one more year!

Did they pick Caroline Rhea to host "The Biggest Loser" because she's fat
and Kirstie Alley wasn't available?

That's all for me.  Throw up a "T" for...

T-BONE!

at least double my money.  This was my first time
to play at the boats.  It took some adjusting
because I am accustomed to playing No Limit
style.  The boats play a different way, where you
can only raise in certain increments.  This keeps
some rich guy from "bullying" the table by
making huge bets every hand.  Well, after I got
used to it, I started kicking butt.  I started the
night with only $80.  I won an extra $170, so I
more than tripled my money on the night.
this is that Eddie used to be a drug and alcohol
abuser.  A while back, many wrestlers would get
addicted to pain medication because of all of the
bumps they took.  Eddie took it to the extreme
and even lost his job.  He cleaned himself up
and dedicated his life to his family, God, and his
wrestling career.  Last year he became the first
Latino-American to be WWE Champion.  He just
celebrated his 4th year as clean and sober.
Unfortunately, his years of abuse caught up to
him and he died of heart failure.  He was an
athlete and that tends to enlarge the heart.
Because of the bad years in his life, his blood
vessels were thin and worn out and could not
ALAMO CHILI

Serving Size  : 4

2 lb. stew meat
1 medium onion
1 can Tomato sauce
2 cloves of garlic
2 tb  chili powder
2 Jalapeno chili's
2 cups Pinto beans
Salt and pepper to taste

Trim the fat from the stew meat,
cut into bite sized chunks and
brown it. Chop the onion and the
jalapeno chili.  Smash the garlic.
Throw everything but the beans
into a pot, add water and simmer
until meat is tender.
Put the beans into a pot with
water and bring to a boil, turn the
heat down and simmer till the
beans are done.
Eat the chili and stomp the hell
out of the beans. Don't confuse
this with "Rebel Chile" which
also has the beans stomped out
of it. I brought this recipe back
from Mexico and it was said to
be the one that Mexico used
when they taught Texans how to
make chili at the Alamo. I
understand that to this day
Texans do not put beans in chili.
If it hasn't got a bean it must be
Texas.
