Ok T-Boners, it's a lame title, but it's all I can think of.  Besides, I'm sure
some of you are closet Bowie fans.  Ok, maybe not.  But It has been a while
since I've posted and I want to update you on some things going on in my
life.  Then I'll say some random BS like I always tend to do.

Well, the biggest change in my life is that I just changed employers.  No
longer do I work at Adea Solutions, Inc.  This was my first job out of college
and I learned a lot while I was there.  Unfortunately for me, the corporate
structure had changed dramatically and the chances for individual upward
growth were slim.  It's a shame, because I was approaching two years with
the company and I really enjoyed most of the people I worked with.  Not to
mention that it is only three minutes from my apartment.

One of the hardest things I have had to do in a long, long time was giving my
boss my two weeks notice.  Over the past year, Ron and I had developed a
friendship that will still exist despite no longer being co-workers.  As soon as
I closed the door to his office, he asked me where I was going.  Am I that
obvious of a person or had he seen the writing on the wall?  I think it was
both because I'm sure the look on my face all morning had given something
away.  Anyway, Ron was great about it and assured me that I was making a
good choice for myself and sent his best wishes.  They waived the two
weeks and let that be my last day, but let me say my goodbyes.

A lot of people in the company were shocked, but at the same time, not so
much.  It really shocked the people that I am close to because I had kept it
such a secret.  Sorry guys, just didn't want to get called out.  Karen, Ron's
boss, called me into her office at the end of the day and we had a nice chat
about things.  She is the one who brought me into the Call Center to recruit
to begin with.  I figured she'd be a little upset with me, but she was great
about it and wished me well, too.  That said, thanks to Adea for the good
times and everything you taught me.

Now I work for a company called Systems Source, Inc and I am a full blown
recruiter now, which is what I have been striving to be for two years.  It is a
much smaller company.  In fact, I am only one of six people in the office.
Everyone there is great so far and I am trying to get up to speed with their
databases and the technologies that they specialize in.  They've been very
patient and I enjoy working there so far.

This definitely changes my commute.  It's not near as bad as my old
commute of 45-60 minutes.  But if any of you have ever been on I-635 in
Dallas during rush hour, you feel my pain.  On a good day, it only takes 15
minutes.  On a bad day, it takes around 35.  This isn't so bad, but it hasn't
rained yet.  And Dallas folks go braindead when the cement goes wet.  I fully
anticipate a 75-minute commute on the day that it happens.  Such is life.

Another big change in my life is that Kitty, my girlfriend to those who don't
know, got accepted into nursing school.  This is great because she changed
majors when she was a senior in college and had to go back and do the
core curriculum.  It's been a hard road, but at least she's gotten over the
hump now.  I hear getting in is actually harder than getting through nursing
school.  Either way, she's smart and a hard worker and she'll be a kickass
nurse.  A hot one, too!  I may have to revoke the 10 years to marriage plan
and change it to the 5 year plan now.  That seems sensible enough.  I
suppose if she can put up with me for 5 years, she's definitely a keeper.

On to the randomness.

The Astros made the World Series.  This being my favorite team, I'm still
stoked for them.  Yeah, they got swept.  But they ran into the best team in
baseball this year while they were on a hot streak.  Same thing happened to
the Cardinals last year against the Red Sox.  If any of you think the Cubs will
break a curse next year, forget about it.

My other team, the Redskins, are playing the best football I've seen them
play in nearly a decade.  They can actually play offense now.  They may not
win the conference or even make the playoffs, but at least they are making
strides.  Not to mention beating the Cowboys 1-on-1 for once.

Is there ever a year that Duke is not named #1 in college hoops to start the
season?  Really, I want to know?!?

Hats off to ToneBone with his Lame List.  He nailed me pretty hard with a few
of those.  True, wrasslin ain't what it used to be.  But I'm waiting for the
return to glory (probably will never happen).

I'm currently watching the 1st season of
LOST on dvd right now.  Based on
what I've seen so far, this is the best real show on TV right now.

To those 4 people who got to pick before me in the fantasy draft, shame on
you for not listening to the experts and passing on LaDanian Tomlinson.
Jerry's Kids (my team) will make you pay.

That's it for me.  Until next time, throw up a "T" for...

T-BONE!

Cha Cha Cha Changes
The Bone Pile
David Bowie was born on January
8, 1947. His real name is David
Robert Jones. He was born in Brixton
(London, UK). He is an important
Rock musician, and also sometimes is
an actor in movies.

He became known to the public with
the 1969 song Space Oddity. This
was released when men first landed
on the moon. The song is based on
the movie 2001: A Space Oddysey by
Stanley Kubrick.

The Spiders From Mars
In 1970 his third album The Man Who
Sold The World was a great success.
This was the time he formed a new
band The Spiders From Mars. On the
album-cover David Bowie was
pictured in an elegant dress. For this
reason the cover was replaced in U.S.
editions of the album.

Ziggy Stardust
His album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy
Stardust and the Spiders From Mars
was released in 1972. It is one of the
best-known David Bowie albums. As a
result of his performance, David
Bowie became the King of Glamrock.

Ziggy Stardust became David Bowie's
second personality (alter ego). On a
press-conference he would show up
as Ziggy. Bowie let Ziggy Stardust
come to an end during a liveconcert
in the Hammersmith Odeon theatre
(London) on July 3, 1973. In 1983 this
show was released as movie and
soundtrack (Ziggy Stardust - The
Motion Picture).

David Bowie in The Eighties
David Bowie left Berlin in 1980. The
last album at that moment was Scary
Monsters... And Super Creeps. In
1981 he had a big hit with Under
Pressure, together with Queen.

Tin Machine
In 1989 David Bowie formed a new
band. This was his first real band
since the seventies. The band was
called Tin Machine. With this band
David Bowie recorded three albums:
Tin Machine (1989), Tin Machine II
(1991) and Oy Vey, Baby (1992).

From nineties to Today
As of the nineties David Bowie was
more influenced by soul, jazz and hip
hop. This was first noticed on the
album Black Tie, White Noise.
The multiple
Emmy
